"SATISFACTION AND E-QUALITY: SOME EVIDENCE FROM INTERNET BANKING"

The perceived quality has been described as a major determinant of the consumer satisfaction. We have integrated the perceived utility construct from Technology Acceptance Models (TAM) with perceived quality from SERVQUAL literature to describe perceived quality in eBank context. A specific scale has been developed and applied to an online survey at a major Portuguese eBank. 754 valid observations had been collected and structural equation modelling methodology was used. Perceived quality has been formalized as a second order construct and the results shows that it is manifested on products and services, convenience and trust in the information.eBank, private consumer behaviour, satisfaction, perceived quality, structural equation modelling.

Evolution Strategies in Optimization Problems

Evolution Strategies are inspired in biology and part of a larger research field known as Evolutionary Algorithms. Those strategies perform a random search in the space of admissible functions, aiming to optimize some given objective function. We show that simple evolution strategies are a useful tool in optimal control, permitting to obtain, in an efficient way, good approximations to the solutions of some recent and challenging optimal control problems.Comment: Partially presented at the 5th Junior European Meeting on "Control and Information Technology" (JEM'06), Sept 20-22, 2006, Tallinn, Estonia. Automatic Test Generation for Space

The European Space Agency (ESA) uses an engine to perform tests in the Ground Segment infrastructure, specially the Operational Simulator. This engine uses many different tools to ensure the development of regression testing infrastructure and these tests perform black-box testing to the C++ simulator implementation. VST (VisionSpace Technologies) is one of the companies that provides these services to ESA and they need a tool to infer automatically tests from the existing C++ code, instead of writing manually scripts to perform tests. With this motivation in mind, this paper explores automatic testing approaches and tools in order to propose a system that satisfies VST needs

En la didáctica de la geografía, los enfoques, corrientes, tendencias, escuelas y paradigmas geográficos existentes han tenido una gran significación, una vez que expresan los fundamentos epistemológicos de la ciencia geográfica; cuestión que permite su modelación didáctica, la determinación del objeto de estudio de las disciplinas geográficas escolares, de sus principales problemas, la determinación de sus fines y objetivos, la estructuración de su contenido, la selección de sus métodos y medios, las formas de organización y evaluación del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje geográfico. La reforma del Estado de las Autonomías

L'autor es proposa analitzar el moment actual de reforma que viu l'Estat de les autonomies. Per això planteja la necessitat de resoldre una sèrie d'incògnites que, per la seva banda, en contenen i generen d’altres. En primer lloc, establir per què encara avui, gairebé trenta anys més tard de 1978, sembla com si estiguéssim en el punt de partida, territorialment parlant; sota aquesta premissa, l'autor estudia la “refundació” del model autonòmic que, al seu parer, té lloc, i critica que s'hagi començat per la reforma dels estatuts en comptes de començar per la reforma de la Constitució. En segon lloc, planteja la necessitat de donar algun tipus de definició per al model d'Estat que sembla que es dissenya, així com una explicació dels seus caràcters; en aquest context analitza el procés estatutari català i la reforma constitucional proposada pel Govern, per concloure escometent la definició del tipus d'Estat que resultaria d'aquests processos i de la diversa manera en què cada un d'ells evolucioni. En tercer i últim lloc, planteja la importància d'afrontar el moment actual del nostre Estat, tant en sentit teòric com en sentit crític, i la necessitat d'elaborar un paradigma federal que pugui servir de guia.In this article, its author analyzes some of the top current issues on the political and legal definition of the Spanish territorial model of state. From this perspective, the author considers that there are some aspects of the territorial organization of the state that have neither been tackled properly, nor have been approached from a problem-solving perspective. As a consequence, these aspects have ended up generating structural resistances to the full development of political decentralization in Spain. Thus, first of all, the author sustains that there have been no significant changes on the territorial model of state since its foundation in 1978; according to the author, thus, the 1978 territorial status quo has hardly changed over all this period. Under this premise, the author studies what he calls the “re-foundation” of the territorial distribution of power in Spain, that is, the re-definition of the State of the Autonomous Communities. Secondly, he advocates for the need to provide a detailed definition of the de facto territorial model of State. In this sense he strongly criticizes the territorial model of State that would result from both the process leading to the reform of the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia and the constitutional reform proposed by Central Government. Thirdly, he states the importance of dealing with the different political and legal challenges arising from the current political debates on the territorial matter, as well as the need to further develop a federal paradigm which could serve as a reference for the future.1.
